ZION NATIONAL PARK

Only a two-and-a-half hour drive from the strip lies one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Zion, Utah’s oldest national park, features incredible canyons and stunning views, 3,000 foot cliffs and some of the largest sandstone walls in the world. The hiking possibilities are endless with several easy, self-guiding trails along the Virgin river and the Riverside Walk is suitable for all ages. For the more experienced who enjoy more adventurous and strenuous hikes, there’s Angels Landing and the Narrows. No matter what type of hike you are looking for you will find it at Zion.

HOOVER DAM

Less than an hour’s drive from the Las Vegas Strip stands this immense concrete structure in the desert. Designed to confine Lake Mead and control flooding on the Colorado River, today the Hoover Dam generates power to over a million people. Walk across the new bypass bridge for heart-pounding views deep into Black Canyon or take an inside tour and ride the elevators down to watch the giant turbines in action. GRAND CANYON

More than any other attraction near Las Vegas, everyone wants to see the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The west rim, about a 2 hour drive from the strip, is home to the Hualapai Indian Reservation and the famous skywalk. The skywalk is a U-shaped protruded glass walk that juts out 70 feet past the rim of the Grand Canyon. LAKE TAHOE

Straddling the border between California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world. The summer months offer watersports, golfing and hiking while the winter snows make for some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country.
